Worked Like a Dream September 5, 2010 Secret Shopper (Mid-Atlantic, USA) I used this converter in Germany with devices designed to handle 120v/240v ac - my curling iron, computer, and cell phone charger. My devices were unscathed and continue to work normally. I read in other reviews how the converter sometimes didn't fit into the socket. My experience was that not all the socets were the same diameter (their sockets are round and deep instead of flat with the wall). I plugged it into one socket and indeed it kept falling out, but then I just tried the socket right below it and it stayed just fine. I don't think it's the fault of the device, rather just that the standardization of the outlets may not be as precise as we are accustomed.
Used in England, Italy, USA September 4, 2010 Rachel This worked great in Italy, England and in the US. I used it to charge my digital camera battery. You do have to sometimes prop it up with a book or item so that it doesn't fall out of the socket. Seems a little loose. I didn't have this when I went to Spain and over there all the socket outlet covers are round so I'm not positive this one would fit in Spain or France because it is square. But for the price and the great travel size, I highly recommend it!
It's alright August 31, 2010 Ellen Just received it in the mail. Like the majority of travel adapters, it is simple looking. Thanks to the delicate mechanism juggling all plug styles, the US prongs actually got stuck when I first launched them. Other than that, works fine. (Need a bit more time to confirm the impression though.) If you're desperate like I was, it is a good choice.

not worth the money August 29, 2010 Edmun B. Richmond (Harbor Island, SC) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item is a bust!! I purchased the CE Travel Universal Adapter for a trip to London. The first time my wife used it with an electric hair curler, the curler smoked, caught fire, melted, and fell apart. Thank God we were in the area to pull the plug before any other damage was done. Don't waste your money!!!
