 Battery did not work with my Dell computer! July 28, 2010

Not happy the battery I purchased. No matter what I did the battery would not work with my computer. I am impressed with Amazon's return policy. With no hassel they issued a return authorized for my battery. I will use Amazon to purchase another battery!

I purchased this battery (about a month ago) after comparing the prices with Dell & reading the reviews. It fit nicely into my inspiron 1520 without a problem. It does stick out about 1/2 inch but I knew it would when I bought it & doesn't cause a problem at all. I went with the 9 cell rather than the 6 cell for longer work time on battery power. Also, the Dell battery was about 3 times more expensive. So far, I am very satisfied with it. I do have the performance set to balanced & could probably extend the work time with a different setting. I have used it for about 2 hours at a time & still have 50% of the battery life left. My computer does say to try to recharge it before it gets below 40% to extend the life of the battery. Overall, I'm satisfied & glad I did not by the expensive battery from Dell.

just like another review here, i had great difficulty getting the battery to snap into place in my inspiron 1520. however, when i finally get it to fit it still didn't power the laptop because it wasn't making connection on the power terminals. I asked for a replacement and it had the exact same problem. at least techorbits gave a refund with no hassle.
also it is suspiciously much lighter than the original 9-cell dell battery.

Though a little oversized for my laptop, battery just fits well & works perfect. Not really a big deal. Performance seems very good as it added a lot more power than my 6-cell. Picture quality has considerably improved and in fact even speed of my laptop. Can't complain a bit. Excellent product, prompt shipping, and definitely recommendable seller!
